BRONX FIRE: NEW YORK MAYOR ERIC ADAMS REVISES DEATH TOLL TO 17
The mayor of New York City, Eric Adams, on Monday revised the death toll from a high-rise fire in the Bronx on Sunday, saying 17 people were killed, two fewer than originally thought.
Adams said nine adults and eight children died. He did not immediately provide a reason for the lower count.Doctors were working to save several people gravely injured by smoke.
