Lego, the Danish toy company to axe 1,400 jobs
Lego has announced plans to cut 1,400 jobs before the end of the year after the first drop in sales in more than a decade.
The Danish toymaker said the cuts amounted to 8% of its global workforce. Revenue fell 6% in the first half of 2017 to 14.9bn Danish krone (£1.8bn). “We are very sorry to make changes which may interfere with the lives of many of our colleagues,” said Jørgen Vig Knudstorp, chairman of the group.
