Image result for North Korea vows 'thousands-fold' revenge on US over sanctionsNorth Korea has vowed to exact “thousands-fold” revenge against the US after the UN imposed new sanctions in response to its recent tests of intercontinental ballistic missiles.

In a statement carried by the official KCNA news agency, the government said the sanctions were a “violent violation of our sovereignty” & part of a “heinous plot to isolate and stifle” the country. The UN security council unanimously backed new sanctions that could slash the regime’s $3bn in annual export revenue by a 3rd. Pastors from 20 churches in Eldoret, Kenya, march and pray for peaceful elections.An estimated 180,000 police officers and members of the security forces are being deployed across Kenya as the country prepares to vote on Tuesday in a fiercely contested presidential election.

Voters will either return the incumbent, Uhuru Kenyatta, who has been in power since 2013, or elect the veteran opposition politician Raila Odinga. Recent opinion polls have not indicated any clear leader in the campaign and turnout will be a key factor. Read more HERE
